Our Sewer Services Overview

SEWER UPGRADES

WCSD is striving to reduce costs and negative impact on the plant caused by leaking sewer mains and residential laterals.  Between March 17 - June 1, 2025, VisuSewer has been contracted to do light cleaning and joint repairs in the main lines and the same in residential laterals.

The goal is to reduce rain water flow by 35-50%.  This will, in turn, aid significantly in the impact of non-waste water entering the system.

Please note: if you have a sump pump or drainage from gutters that drain into the sewer system, this is illegal.  WCSD will assist you in realigning your drainage to enter the village storm drains instead of the septic systems.

Repairs and upgrades to the sewer system for Thurston and Pleasantville continue through approximately the middle of July, 2025.  During this time, Visu-Sewer and their sub-contractors will be operating along various streets.  They have been instructed to notify residents when they will be performing tasks that may cause potential backflow into toilets.  If you have a concern or issue, please complete the Comment Form below and we will respond to your inquiry within 24 hours.
